Safety Town 2019 is right around the corner!

Safety Town is a collaboration between Prairie Township, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, the Prairie Township Fire Department, Columbus Neighborhood Pride and Doctor’s West Hospital.  The program is designed to teach five and six year olds about personal safety in a fun, non-threatening way.  It also gives children an opportunity to not only learn about safety, but interact with actual safety personnel.

Spring programming is here

Posted to Building FUN Healthy Community on March 19, 2019 at 1:43 PM by James Gant

As Prairie Township finally begins to thaw out from the seemingly endless winter, the PTCC is ready for a super FUN spring and summer with a whole host of new programs and camps for all ages.

This spring we are expanding our award-winning program Girls Build to be a four-week program.  Each week the girls will have an opportunity to learn from a different female trade person and make a small project.

Is your child super excited about the new Pokémon movie coming out this spring?  Then sign them up for the DIY Pikachu Doll class where your child will have the opportunity to create their very own Pikachu doll.

For the science enthusiast the PTCC is offering two exciting camps this summer.  RoboThink’s Robotics and Coding Camp will explore the basics of coding and robotics building.

While, Camp COSI will spend the week with COSI Educators will explore a whole host of exciting hands on experiences for your young scientist.

Don’t forget about our exciting special events!

Touch a Truck is one of our most popular events on Saturday May 18 from noon – 2 pm!  Come and bring the little ones for a chance to climb into a fire truck or a police cruiser or try out the tractors.  No matter what type of equipment they enjoy it will likely be at the PTCC.

For you Star Wars Fans you will not want to miss our May the Fourth event either.  It is a great opportunity to test your knowledge of the Force!
